First Aid campaign - Ghana College of Physicians & Surgeons

As part of the Paediatric Fracture Solutions for Ghana project run by the Ghana College of Physicians & Surgeons, we proposed a digital campaign which was approved.
The virtual part of the project which was conceptualized and implemented by TroTro Diaries focused on using social media to train community members on basic first aid knowledge and how to handle victims of road crashes. Following analysis of various crash victims, it was observed that a significant number suffered life threatening injuries that were not due to the crashes but rather due to how they were transported after there was a crash of fracture.
It was a successful campaign which helped to reach and train over 500,000 people. TroTro Diaries was invited to present findings at the Annual General Meeting of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. We also presented at the final project meeting of all partners.
The first aid campaign on TroTro Diaries involved the use of the Facebook group poll functionality to gain behavioral insights and subsequently use these insights to develop behavioral change content in the form of trivia and answers and video content.
